I feel the need to elaborate.
SF0 is very much a game that exists in the real world. As such, tasks... well... task us with going out and doing something. The instructions for these tasks - the part in the colored box underneath the title - are what you need to focus on: understanding them, following them, and then showing that you completed them. Do this, and your character's fame and fortune will grow, unimpeded by that ugly red X. And it'll make a lot more interesting/impressive reading, too! :)
