Keep Marching On by clown face
February 11th, 2010 8:31 PM
Tonight was a strange night. I felt unable to do my schoolwork for reasons unknown. Perhaps there is something brooding in my subconscious or some inner turmoil... either way i decided that i must take some action. And what better place is there for fulfilling and unique tasks than SF0?
So i began to peruse the different tasks until i found one that appealed to me. And then "Keep Marching On" popped out of the page and gave me a hard peck in the eye as if to say, "Hey Travis you should choose me because you'll feel better in the end!!!" And so I set out on my task.
Immediately upon accepting the task the thought of burning an old letter came to mind. I received this letter from one of my exes a very long time ago and have kept it for all this time. I am still not sure why. Simply holding onto the past i suppose.
The letter is a store-bought parchment penned in India ink. The paper is folded into an envelope shape, sealed with red wax and stamped with a generic stationary stamp. A nice little gesture really.
It burned beautifully.

Here we see that beautiful things can burn beautifully, too. I must say the burning of something beautiful makes me sad, but that is not to detract from the simple perfection of this completion.
