They say that even a broken clock is right twice a day.
They are wrong.
They are wrong.
My new favourite logo. So cute!

The clock movement component was built by Young Town (Taiwan). Their website reads, "Our history began in 1956 with the opening of first Seafood Restaurant in Taiwan, the "Tainan Tan Mien" Restaurant, named after the famous traditional Taiwanese noodle dish". No explanation how they progressed from there into the clock business.
Back of the circuit board

My theory is that this makes part of the clock pulse with a magnetic force and that in turn drives magnet-gear.

I have this clock! Or, at least, one that looks very much like it.
Voted for the comment about Young Town. You made me laugh out loud. :)
