Player Photograph by Coreopsis Major Bloden Melen

Just as I am frequently not quite what I seem, though usually not in a dangerous, malicious or problematic way, this is not a picture of a coreopsis major. It's a yucca. Yucca yucca yucca. It's a pretty tough plant, but the flower stalks must be sweet, because they attract a lot of ants as they age. This one wasn't gross yet, though. Picture taken June 7, 2007, at Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs, CO.

Coreopsis are very pretty. I may grow some this year. But I may find some elsewhere to take a photograph of them, first. We shall see!
and I like the symbol. Can't wait to see what a Coreopsis looks like, though! :)
