Impress Me! by Curiou Sir

December 31st, 2007 2:14 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create your own coat of arms. Wear or display it publicly.

Always Curious.

[There may well be some existing symbol combining a question mark and an infinity sign, but I didn't look for one.]

I made my coat of arms by, primarily, combining elements of two items I'd previously made: a "road sign" and a version of the U of A logo [which I made after doing the SF0 Wallpaper task as I wanted a fully vectored version of it].

As for publicly displaying it, for the moment I only have it as my primary online icon [here and elsewhere] as I've no printer ink at present.

I can only assume the crossing of those two symbols means "QUESTION EVERYTHING"

Ooh, I like how the question mark glows.
Does the color green have any particular relevance?

Wow. I really like the reworking of the UofA logo. Can't wait to see what you'll do with these next.

i was in a band who was briefly named "The Always Curious Bear", after we misheard our guitarist mumbling about how he doesn't mind broken strings, because "I always carry a spare"

Is everyone except me a graphic designer? I don't think I could make a very good coat of arms with Microsoft Paint...

Charlie,

Neither could I. :) I highly recommend The Gimp, a free open source photo editing program (similar to Photoshop) for starting to learn how to do more complex and interesting designs easily.

Charlie,

I use Illustrator, but for Windows or Linux, you could try Inkscape..
