Ridiculous Protest by Curiou Sir

December 31st, 2007 12:17 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Protest something ridiculous (and not just the goverment), something that isn't normally protested, and is unlikely to change because of your protest.

Examples: the color of the sky, fashion statements, rubin's mom.. etc..

Make signs. Hit the streets.

Bonus if you get others to join in your protest.

The point of this is not so much to create change (though if it does, even better!.. and please document it), but to create awareness and silliness.

Back in May, I did this task, as I'd believed it was a Level 2 one, and that I had enough completed [though, at the time, unposted] tasks to reach it. Only after I did it did I see that the task was really Level 3. Still, now that I'm finally to Level 3, I felt I should post this before the era ends.

I protested No Pants Day.

I printed up a number of each of the fliers and posted them around the neighborhood [and, also, dropped some off at friend's houses].

And I took some with me to the coffeeshop where I was meeting a group of friends [and fellow SF0 players] who were celebrating No Pants Day. They agreed it *was ridiculous to protest it [but let me sit with them, anyway].

I, also, intended to make a t-shirt [via the shown iron-on transfer] -- that didn't get done...but, it will...'cause 2 May 2008 will, again, be No No Pants Day.

That is a ridiculous protest. Everybody likes no pants.

Ridiculous. Less clothes is always good.

Another great ridiculous aspect to this protest is that you're probably doing at least as much to spread No Pants Day as you are to protest it. I hadn't heard of No Pants Day before, but now that I have...
