Absurdist Composition by steve rules, kristin gish
May 3rd, 2008 9:01 PMWritten by Steve Rules & Kristin Gish, Circa 2008
It is rumoured that the creation process of this song was heavily influenced by liquids, written in the middle of the night in a half-lit room 2 stories in the air somewhere close and not too far away.

The many different instruments & sounds used in this particular piece have been an understandable subject of numerous theories. Some say that each instrument represents a different part of each of the creators subconscious, some have said that in all actually the visual representation of the instruments is part of the message trying to be brought across. The list goes on but in the end none of these have been proven. One could suggest that the point of this song is actually to confuse the listener... or that the point is that there is no point at all.

When confronted with these questions, the response given by the creators, Steve Rules and Kristin Gish, has always been 'Find me on Choco Island', which has also been interpreted in many different fashions, all applicable but none making any more sense than the other.
I suppose we will never know.

Rache, der Drache fällt! very nice.
I like this program you were working with.
hah thank you.
this is our 500 dollar expensive and refined recording software
the capabilities are endless
While it's a good tune and all, I would argue that it's not really absurdist as such - it sees far too organised and, well, sensible in points...
Ah but there you would be mistaken. Although when looking at our sheet music.. you see no random instructions or notes.. this was made without formula.
I'd have to say that its not the same as the first two that were done, but the same idea can only be interesting so many times. This difference doesn't make it wrong.
the piece is an experiment in the evolution of chaos - the process of entropy. as the universe evolves, the sum total chaos increases. the same is true for the "Pilz-Königreich". the piece may start orderly but soon dissolves into disorder. also, one of the instruments is pigs.
I find that pigs as an instrument is absurdity enough.
What? Mario Paint?
Wow.
It really is better than MS Paint you know.
really, with the program you were using, you were destined for greatness.
my only qualm is that there isn't quite enough pig. but then there is never enough pig.
i hope you swatted bugs after this.
it is sort of a pig chorus. but you don't want to dilute the power and majesty of the porcine voice.
and we totally swatted bugs. if anyone knows how to beat the huge mechanical fly let me know.
Amazing
