A Strange Kind of Love by Rainbow Bright, tuesday morning, Plastic Jesus
August 25th, 2007 12:50 AMAfter doing a bit of research, it was off to buy some Dawn soap; it's tough on grease, you know. It was time to show our love for our new found friend by giving him a bath...an unconventional method of showing love, if you ask me. I don't recall anyone ever saying to me, "I love you so much; now hop in the sink so I can wash you with dish soap." I won't bore you with wordy bath details....the pics tell the story.
The bird was quickly deemed "Jane," how original. Post-bath Jane lived in a bra bin next to the heat lamp for a day until he was healthy enough to eat. Once we knew he was no longer at risk of dying, he took to living in his bra bin under my desk for two days.
After the first failed attempt at integrating him back to the outdoors with his friends. we had to come up with an alternate plan. Poor little Jane couldn't fly. Not wanting him to be eaten by the neighborhood cats, Jane went back to scooting around under my desk. After a day and a few phone calls, we found a safe haven for Jane at the Wildcare Home in San Rafael, compliments of the Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research Center. Tuesday Morning graciously took him up there where he will live until he is healthy enough to return home.
See Jane Run wishes Jane a healthy recovery with the upper class folks in Marin County! Stop by for a suddsy lovefest anytime.

I'll just vote for the good deed alone, not to mention well documented. :)
I fricking hate pidgeons
but I fricking love unconditional unconventional love!
As far as not being Biome goes… there are ways around that…
It just takes longer and you might not get the vote/point love
Jane is probably the cleanest pigeon in town.
Jane was dropped off at Wild Care in San Rafael on Friday afternoon where he will be given the care he needs. They said his wings were in bad shape and it would probably take about 2 or so weeks to get his wings in flying condition again. however, I'm happy to report that his feet were in tip top condition. clean bird... must have gotten a pedicure. They usually release a group of pigeons at a time, but we will be contacted about the release. MAD JANE LOVE.
bill and me fell in love once, but not with each other.
Yech. That's not a bird, that's a pidgeon. I think its in the rodent family. It did look sorta cute though...
save souls all you want jesus, i'll be there at the final judgment.
Before everyone lets me know that there is a Biome task for this exact project, I'll save you the time and let you know that none of us could do that task...hence...an unconventional lovefest! Who doesn't enjoy a good lovefest sometimes anyway?
