Only one question...

Why?

i agree because when people force out 4 or 5 tasks in a day, they tend to be a little lackluster.

what should the cutoff be? i'd say 2...

EDIT: i'd say 1

You can always do a bunch of tasks at once and then just not submit them all right away. I know I've waited before on submitting tasks and ended up making important edits to them.

Yes. I agree. Having been around for a while, a task submission limit is fantastic. I didn't even knew it existed.

WAIT A MINUTE

i misread this as
"there SHOULD be a limit on how many tasks we submit a day."

There are way too many players that tried to post as many tasks as they could in an hour. This fills the praxis with completely half-assed tasks, making it completely and utterly boring to look through. and it doesn't give other players a chance to show something they may have worked a little harder on.

I highly recommend you take on a task as a little artsy project, if nothing else. It can be a lot of fun. Taking a picture of mitosis from google images doesn't exactly make for an interesting read and is precisely why we need such limits

I am really happy that they put a limit on the # too

A limit on the number of tasks a player can do puts a limit on how many one sentence completions a new or limitedly involved player can submit.

do you think burn unit could have become level frour in one week if there was a 1 task per day limit????

posted by Lizard Boy on August 27th, 2007 11:31 PM

Well, if he submitted his first seven tasks 1/day, assuming all of them had the votes they have now at the end of the week with the exception of campaign trail, for which i'm going to say he would have had roughly 10 votes after the 3 or 4 days, he would have had about 250 points after a week. Not level 4, but fairly close.

ANYWAY, the more important point is that I don't think it matters. If you're ever averaging more than 1 *well done and documented* task a day for more than say, a fortnight, i'll be very impressed. And on any time scale other than "sustained", you can just submit tasks later, as mentioned by K!.

The current limit is four within 18 hours. Hit 18:01 and you can go for number five.

If we're not allowed to submit tasks faster than people can flag them, how are we ever supposed to level up in this game?

Once again, you old timers are just trying to keep us newbies down to preserve your own standing.

Just cause *you* can't complete 6 compelling tasks every day doesn't mean we should all suffer!

what the crap?

I'm fine with a 3-5 task/day limit. Sometimes the tasks one submits link together. I don't think 1 task/day is at all appropriate. And this is from the gal who submits 1 task/fortnight.

I had no idea the WAS a limit! Good that there is though. Even if by some fluke of creative brilliance one manages to create 5 jaw dropping stunners of a task completions in one day. It would still be imprudent to submit them all at once since they wouldn't stand out in the individual greatness. as we all know, the secret to great comedy is

I used to work in a vitamin pill shop and there is a viagra substitute called horny goat's weed. We used to keep it behind the counter so people had to come up and ask us for it. heh, heh ,heh.

Spar: Hey! Our journey write up may be a bit delayed, but I still feel relatively confident that we will get it done eventually. I think I am holding it up more than he is, his part is almost done. Mine is as of yet non-existant.

Meta: hehehe.
