INSTRUCTIONS: Build or make something you don't need. Give it away.

Predictably Irrational Knitting (plus bonus additional project!)

I do not need a baby blanket, since I do not have a baby and do not know anybody who is having a baby.

And yet, I made a baby blanket.

Not only it is a useless-to-me baby blanket, it is a useless-to-me MINIATURE baby blanket (foot for scale).

So I gave it away. To a friend, who knows a guy, who just came out with a book:

Predictably Irrational

The book is his baby. Now the "book baby" has a blanket, with the "baby's" initials on it and everything.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit this particular book blanket was a request from somebody I know. However, it remains that I did not need it, I made it, and I gave it away. And innit cute?

I haven't read the book yet, but I think I might have to.

Edited to add: Atlantis!
Knit as my first lace project many years ago and abandoned to lie around the apartment for years before being pulled out, redyed and reblocked, Atlantis is going to be given away as soon as I get the post office to purchase the packing materials.

Vote for Knitting in a no-knitting-required task!

There is no such thing as a no-knitting-required task. There are only tasks in which the knitted element is non-obvious. ;)

Commisioned tasking, mmm, that´s new. But what about the drive?
I guess you could say: what about it? And I couldn´t say anything back.

Well, I could have waited a few days and put up the OTHER knitted thing I'm giving away, which is purely spontaneous giftage of a project I wanted to make but didn't wish to keep... But I'm impatient.

Spontaneous knitting = lots of drive (at least I guess, I couldn´t knit to save my life)

Oh, cool! Please-please add it later!

Hovering/dancing Atlantis is wonderful, the fern-like design, whatever "reblocked" may mean. Too bad I don´t have another vote for that picture.
I sense a flurry of knitting tasking inspired by this...

The floating lace is lovely.
Definitely, when you do the next gift, edit this completion and add it on!
