Regular Animal Documentation by Dr. Subtle

The only animal I see on a regular basis is Blake, my tiger. He is named after William Blake, the poet, and author of The Tyger.
He was given to me by a female friend whom I oft regard as a significant, though platonic other. We have joint custody over him, so sometimes Blake stays at her house for a month or two, but mostly at mine.
He is the great grand-cub of a tiger shared by a husband and wife in Colonial India- the husband gave her a tiger as a replacement for the children she failed to conceive, but then he went mad and walked into the jungle. As it happened, it was he who was infertile, and as she remarried and had children, her family began to raise the offspring of that first tiger. Blake is a great grand-cub.

Blake and Ratty

When my bed is made he has a defined place at the head of it, usually near, but in clear control over, other animals. Ratty, above, usually is off the bed when I sleep, or guarding its side.

I believe the "Regular" in the title of the task refers to frequency of documentation, not nature of animal.

I can't believe there have been, like, 34 completions of this task and no-one thought to document a toy animal.
You know, for reason I'm getting the feeling that that's not a real animal.
Vote anyway.
