Flat Stanley's Rumspringa by Pip Estrelle
July 7th, 2008 8:41 AM
Did you know that Flat Stanley, beloved hero of a children's book series and ubiquitous third-grade school project, was Amish? Yeah, neither did I. Especially not when he showed up riding a cherry-red motor scooter, wearing ornamental buttons galore and sporting a considerably more punked-out look than I remembered from my elementary school days. But as it turns out, Flat Stanley was raised in an Amish community, and now that he's a teenager, he's allowed to run wild and sample all the sex, drugs, and advanced technology the secular world has to offer. His family predicts that he'll realize how overrated it all is and return to the fold, but after following Flat Stanley at a distance for a night and documenting the veritable binge of debauchery that unfolded over those eight hours, I'm not so sure...

Was ist hier los? Vorsicht Hochspannung? Wo bist du?
Ich bleibe ein Monat in Marburg, aber Flat Stanley worde im Deutsches Museum (München) fotografiert.
Ich komme aus Pennsylvania (U.S) und mein Deutsch ist zehr schleckt. Es tut mir leid. ^ ^;
That's a great museum! I guess Flat Stanley was very impressed by the technical innovations of the last century.
i am liking this task more and more.
I would vote twice if I could, just for Flat Maude the Hooker.
Ok, I have no idea who flat stanley is, but this is great. Vote for the crowdsurfing - oh, and the cyborg pigeon.
