The website is on Pacific time, but teucer, being in central North Carolina, is on Eastern Standard. Presumably, he posted this at 3:34 AM in his own time zone.

I think I'd like your write-up even if I did spend a lot of time doing this kind of thing myself, as it's always interesting to get an outsider's take on a situation.

Since I'm not much of a clubbing/partying sort of person at all, it was reassuring to read about someone else who finds those things awkward.

Okeh? Oll Korrect?

It's fascinating about your color vision. How long did it take for you/your parents/your teachers to realize that you weren't distinguishing between blue and green?

Spam lyrics?

Brilliant!

Oh, nice crayoning and stuff, too.

Some African languages have only two color categories. They're usually translated loosely as "white" and "black", but that's a bit misleading since some darker colors go into the former category.

(I'd like to state for the record that it's not physically possible for the color terms one learns as a child to actually change one's ability to see certain colors, only to change how one mentally categorizes them. So psychosomatic is a good word for it, I think.)

elephant.indricotherium.human.jpg

I think you deserve an Indricotherium, the largest land mammal ever, related to the rhinoceros, and sadly extinct these past 20 million years (or so).

Eyes are a prominent feature of both Easter Island art and Cosmo magazine ads.

Vote because I have a soft spot for projects that expose the similarities between two things that are (at least on the surface) very, very unalike. :)

I want to see that sentence in a scholarly article someday.

Hey, that's not a very nice thing to say about my bear!

You were hit by a car!?

That's a fairly impressive rendition of Beethoven. Lincoln, too. (Although I thought you meant the sf0 player when I first read it.)
