I'm afraid you won't get very far in the game with that kind of attitude.
We award points for tasks with interesting proof and write ups.
We flag praxis with no proof other than a few short sentances, and only the players word that they have completed the task.
thank you, your highness.
well, if you really make me, i will submit a picture, and the task will be rendered invalid.
but i'd like to take the opportunity now to prove that i do rob: http://www.flickr.com/photos/elleko/sets/72157622315956721/
What Samantha says is generally true, and usually if there's nothing interesting in the proof or completion, it won't get votes...but I'll admit, the "without anyone knowing" sort of description has provoked the same kind of reaction in me--so I'll give a vote for the defense.
;) That said, merely posting makes us /suspect/ that you did it, even if we also suspect that you may not have. suspicion is a dangerous game.
Funny, I just assumed that the not "being seen, heard, or suspected" only applied to the stranger being endowed with the gift.
nonprofits know this, and milk it.
'philanthropy' is donating full time purely for the credit.
you can say that the sum effect is still the same, people donate. vanity dilutes the act. why donate in the first place? does it make you feel better off than the person you donate to? does it make you feel good? that's all fine, but then the focus shifts from the giftee to the gifter. it's insincere.
I like the mind-game, but it's a snideish way to do an HC task. While the logic is fun, it doesn't do justice to the intent and feel of the task. I encourage your creativity, but there are outlets that will be more receptive. while "flags are free" i think this task has taught me something, and was pretty clever. But i don't think you did justice to the task, so sorry, but no votes
thank you for encouraging me. you didn't have to, but you did. that's very kind, almost silently kind, only the opposite.
oh look, i got the points already.
so this task is actually impossible to complete.
...for the ordinary human.
on the other hand, if i do not provide proof and simply tell you that i did it, you suspect that i didn't do it.
so even if i actually did it, you wouldn't know if i actually did.
this means even you have not seen heard or suspected, (you anti-suspected me by deleting the task that's without proof.)
if you do not delete me, i get the points.
so either way, i get the points, or you have to admit this task is logically impossible to complete and receive points for.
