Potted Plant Distribution by Reed Peck-Kriss

February 22nd, 2011 11:22 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Acquire a small potted plant. Leave the plant in a store, cafe, or a location of your choosing that has lack of potted plants.

So, this last weekend me and a few friends went to Disneyland. On the way down to my grandma's house (where we were staying), we decided to stop in the L.A flower market, to look around, and prepare for this task.

The Flower market was HUGE, and pretty awesome. Never have I seen more flowers in such a small place. There was color everywhere, and the whole place smelled beautiful. And was surprisingly warm, despite it being around 7 in the morning.

We walked through the market awhile, deciding what to get, and finally settled on a nice little fire-red gardenia.

After some other shenanigans, we later wound up at a run down little minigolf course, which we figured would be an excellent new home for our plant. The place was pretty run down (the windmill was missing a blade, so it didn't spin in whole circles), but it looked like the owners were trying to fix it up.

We considered a few different possible new homes, but eventually decided on one of the windows in the tiny church in the back.

That gardena is living the life.

I hope someone takes care of him.
