Ok, so friday is a day for going to work right? Well last friday I decided there must be a far more constructive way to spend the day..so this is what i did. My first SFO task yay :)
I woke up in my friend Fees van (otherwise affectionately known as Harold) and we drove to her grandparents beautiful huge house in the country. We met up with the lovely Marleena and she spent the morning teaching me how to do tablet weaving to make pretty pieces of braid to put on my viking kit...(yes we are crazy re-enactors). Having never done this before at all i think i picked it up pretty fast...i think :) We had yummy pastries and tea, and then thought the gorgeous weather called for an ice cream (it was blowing a hooley and raining most of the day...good old England). On our mission for ice cream i tried another new thing..anchovies...not the nasty salty jobbies off pizza but proper ones. Turns out they taste yummy..and even have the power to destroy the taste of almighty morning after kebab burps! Now thats impressive! All in all a good fun day with two lovely ladies, and two fun new experiences....far better than a day at work surely??
So there we go, my first task is complete.
