After approx. 7 and 1/2 hours of boring myself with inactivity:
A Boredom Haiku:
Lying, not asleep
No distraction, quiet room
3 p.m. I'm bored.
I know I'm bored when I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin if I don't engage my body or my mind in the next few minutes.
Absolute inactivity bores me. Most often, this includes sleep.

I purposely stopped working at 7:40ish a.m. Wednesday morning, and stayed in bed, with no activities, until a bit after 3p.m. I would say that I slept about two hours, but, as I said, that is definitely included in my list of things that bore me.
To be fair, I do have reasonably entertaining pets, but I tried to not interact with them.
I should've taken pics of the clock to document time, maybe? I do have a witness...
I even made a valiant effort to shut off my analytical mind... turns out that's utterly impossible.

Beautifultesant!
... actually, it's kinda nice.
Did you bore yourself for six hours? I think you've got the question half, the second half of this task nailed down with clarity. What led up to the haiku?
