Object Annotation by Hemingway Kat

April 7th, 2007 11:53 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Pick a local public object that you enjoy and leave a note on it describing your feelings in great detail.

The very first thing I really even sort of liked about Austin was the Congress Ave. Bridge bat colony.
(I placed my note on the bridge, not the bats.)

Actually, I placed my note one bridge over, in a spot where people watch the bat colonies exit for the night.

In Houston, there was this oddly punctuated sign on Memorial Ave. that read: Waugh St. Bridge "Bat Colony" ... for some reason it was funny (well, only to me...)

Bats! I can relate to your homesickness.... I am having a difficult time coming up with anything in the town where I live for grad school. So the first thing you like is significant.

Bats, yay!
