Trespassing the Future by Keith Irwin, Everett Defew

For me, only a true trespassing would constitute a completion of this task. It was therefore imperative that we find a location that would be changing, that was also off limits. Conveniently, our school happens to be building a new library on the south end of our campus. The library's basement has been laid and cement was put down, but the foundation was still open. The objective of our mission, which was carried out on September 9, 2008, was to infiltrate the site and get down into the basement fetus. In the picture below, one can see the "moat" around the structure, making this task extra difficult.

This task had several hurdles. Firstly, the fence had to be crossed. Then a vast open space needed to be crossed. During this, we would be out in the open for all eyes to see. The site was between two roads and a field on campus, so we could be seen from most of the campus while crossing this treacherous dirt plot.

We looped around the full length of the fence to scout it out and wait for any pedestrians to pass. Then, while the coast was clear, we entered the compound by jumping over the fence on the north side, next to some tennis courts. Agent Everett led the party.
Once in, we ran low to the ground to avoid being seen. We saw, once inside, that to cross the moat, we needed to balance across a rickety plank and clamber down a ladder.

Whilst reconaising, we suddenly realized that we had been detected. Two female faculty pushing a stroller were chatting. We hid behind a Caterpillar, but realizing that they had already seen us, it was deemed much less shady to stand and act like we were just checking the site out, not doing any harm.
Long story short we were asked to leave. We exited under the gate and walked behind the two women on our way back. While walking we planned our next move. Occasionally the women would look back to ensure that we were leaving.
Since it was almost study hall, we had three options:
- Go back in and risk getting caught again.
- Come back after study hall, when it is dark (bad for pictures, not as challenging).
- Come back another day.
Since Agent Everett was staying over that night, option three was a stretch. And of course we were feeling badass and didn't want to do it in the dark, so we went for option one.
We hung around another building until the women were gone and then made our move. It was almost study hall, so it needed to be quick. We looked around and slid under the fence. Below is Agent Keith trespassing.

Once in we briskly passed the open space, as Agent Everett is expertly doing below.

Once in, we strode, balancing across the plank and around the ladder. If a teacher caught us now, there was nothing we could do. Below is Agent Everett climbing down the ladder.

Once in, it was mission accomplished!
