secret place by A.N. Other, Melia Turnwell
February 12th, 2012 6:54 PM / Location: 41.126650,-74.57949My time with the A.G. was over in some small, useless town. In New Jersey, no less.
That was a year ago.
I took a friend a mine, a woman named Melia Turnwell, to this spot. I needed to go back, but I couldn't do it alone. I figured to take the company of a lovely woman to ease myself into the tiny corner where everything I knew left me.
It helped.
Perhaps one day I will clear out the trees and get a better picture. I know it doesn't seem like much or even if you can see anything. But it's there.
My thanks to Ms. Turnwell. Without her, I may have never gone back.
Side entrance

The more visible entrance off of Rutherford Ave. I couldn't tell you how many times I went back, but it only took once to change my life.
Missing Path

The path you see to the left leads to some houses. The hill on the right is where I went. My senses tell me it was Eris that led me down the hill. My brain says it was just chance. I've been ignoring both for awhile.
Halfway Mark

Picture of the river. I didn't take a picture of it, but if you follow the river back to the road, there's a bunch of kids toys just sitting in the water, including a tricycle. I stare at it for hours.
Denied Access

If you can make it out, there is a concrete wall just past the trees. Sadly, Eris decided to block the path. I would have tried harder, but I began feeling ill. I knew why I wasn't allowed back there.
You are brave, and smart to take a companion.
