Fortune Not Cookie by J. White

This task is my first, and I chose it, because I like to make people feel better about themselves and I saw this taks as a chance to do so. I suppose that could be called a flaw. But I don't care. As long as I don't make myself unhappy making other people happy, there you go, no harm done.
Motivation Boost
Since exams are inching closer and closer by the minute at the university I attend, I thought I could give some of those poor souls spending hours a day in my institute's library (Department of Asian Studies) a motivation boost. So I made little Fortune Cookie slips and placed them in books especially needed for the exams coming up and papers due in two weeks' time.
Because I live and study in Germany, I wrote the Fortune in German on one side, in English on the other. I love those quirky translations that are usually found on these slips whenever you have a Fortune Cookie in a chinese restaurant and I wanted to do that too, but my being a hopelessly neurotic perfectionist, I couldn't get myself to do it. Shame on me :D
So, here are my steps:
Typed and printed Fortunes

Glued and marked where to cut

Cut out Fortunes

English Fortune (one side)

German Fortune (other side)

My library is on the 2nd floor (called 1st floor in Germany)

The books necessary for the upcoming exams

Inserted slips (13 books)

Thank you and the others so much for the votes! It feels really good to have this kind of reaction to something one did to help and motivate others :D

fantastically wonderful job! I really enjoy making other people happy, and I love finding other people who also have fun making people happy. you are like sunshine through the clouds on a rainy day. :)

thank you so much for your kind words! they make me very happy :)
I'm not sure who would call that a flaw--it's a great motivation. Nice work, and welcome to SF0!
