One Cent by Julian Muffinbot, Amby D, carry_me_Zaddy
July 13th, 2008 9:43 AM / Location: 41.968967,-87.67392Embarking upon this mission, we were a little skeptical. Mail a penny, you say? On the surface it appeared to be a bland and simple task, until we realized the critical nature of said endeavor. This task was not referring to a mere coin, a cent, a chunk of yankee metal!! Oh no, there were deeper layers of intrigue afoot. It was time to bring out the big guns. The real money...
Moneypenny. Jane Moneypenny.
And where more appropriately to begin, than at a typewriter?

The missive is complete and prepared to send.

Agent 00™ arrives at the drop location, eluding detection by enemy operatives.

And now the waiting begins. Will Moneypenny make it to her final destination? Will the fellow SF0er be prepared for her arrival? Only time will tell... meanwhile, martinis! Shaken, not stirred.

Agreed! Vote (plus a thumbs up) for the use of such snazzy attire (both mask and tux!).
Not being a huge ____ fan (I've only seen the most recent) I nearly missed the reference. Upon further digging, however, this suddenly makes a lot more sense. Great, awesome, lovely, amazing, superb!
What does Moneypenny have to say? Who was it sent to? Oh, the intrigue!!
yes, intrigue it is!
I love that you can't quite read what she has to say... tidbits of Moneypenny wisdom, they are...
It will be interesting to see if the sf0 agent set to receive her will be prepared. I am nervous about the success of this mission.
I have to admit: I was NOT prepared for Moneypenny's arrival, unexpected as it was, coming casually from the hand of a coworker, and addressed to me at my work address. For one I pretty much never get actual physical mail addressed to myself at work, since most work people email me. So that was quite strange, and then it was obviously written by a typewriter, which should have been a clue (as I have recently been in the presence of this very typewriter and in fact typed some things on it), yet I did not recognize it!
Moneypenny has definitely changed my afternoon. For the better? For the worse? Who is to say?
For the curious, here are the bits of Moneypenny's wisdom written on the sides of this photograph:
"Flattery will get you nowhere... but don't stop trying."
"You always were the cunning linguist, James."
I will take both pieces of advice to heart.
confidential to Amby D: yes yes, ok, your mission is now fulfilled!
Excellent. You have now fullfilled your end of the mission and (without being demanded to do so) have revealed the sacred, special advice of the powerful Moneypenny. Welcome to the team, secret agent.
i only want everyone to be able to improve their lives by taking her wisdom into account!
[Transmission Response] Roger Moore, Agent Julian. Good to hear the package arrived safely. May this lucky _____penny bring great success in all your SF0 endeavors. For Queen & Country! Agent 00™ is out. [End Transmission]
This is great.
