We decided that in order to get to the highest point of anything, we may as well trek up to find the hidden concrete slides of Seward Street-- to reach the epitomy of nostalgia--the playground. Who doesn't remember sliding through enormous sinkholes of sand as you grappled your way to the monkeybars? The mudpies? The thrill of sliding down what seemed to be miles and miles and miles of air? We did, but only because we trekked up to the hidden parks (not only for kids anymore!). And found them.
