Natural -> Artificial by Zoo Babies Pet Animals

Okay, so here goes....
My first task ever (besides the photo task) was to trespass...I collaborated with a few friends here in St. Louis, and we traveled down into the depths of the Lemp Caves... for more info, see my other tasks.
Anyway, I was really inspired by the formations in the caves, and then reading further on in the comments that were posted about the task, one member mentioned that the Lemp Caves were going to officially be closed off. Never to be ventured into again.
So, I decided to recreate these beautiful formations in exaggerated colors on watercolor cutouts layered over each other. But, instead of making them protrude, I decided to make them recede into the paper, like negative formations. I figured this would only be fitting since, like a memory, I will most likely never see them again.
So, there you have it...natural formations into artificial formations....hope you likey.
