Okay, I admit it, this one gets special, invisible, unusable bonus points from me for its support of Mom and Pop comic book stores. (side note: WAY overdue to hit up Earth 2. Running behind on Buffy Season 8 and Vagabond. So sad.)
However, half of those special, invisible, unusable bonus points are being revoked for deeming a concurrence of brokeness and base ten alignment serendipitous. Yes, the use of base ten over time in many places gives it a certain amount of significance, but really, are we going to allow our number system be dictated by our fingers forever?
Go base twelve!
This reminds me very much of saving red heart shaped stickers from Valentine's day when I was about fifteen. I wore a bright red shirt and handed them out on Saint Patrick's Day, remarking at how neat it was that I had found bright green heart stickers. Thankfully the few red green colour blind people I've talked to about this have found it hilarious.
The luxury of intimately knowing a stranger is highly underrated.
