Is this at the Castro Halloween thing?

Lord knows I had no trouble being a ninja on the National Mall--I was sort of hoping they'd think I was a terrorist or something, but no dice. Was your sword real? Maybe that was your problem...

i'm pretty sure carrying it is legal. brandishing it is probably not. they may have been fucking with you or looking to get you on some sort of trumped up charge.

i wasn't brandishing it at the time.
he wanted to arrest me for "possession of a lethal weapon." 'luckily' for me a bunch of people elsewhere in castro got shot during my ordeal and they had to leave and send me on my way home.
its ever so slightly more complicated than that, but i suspect i'm lucky to be sleeping in my own bed the last few days

That could've been bad. At best you would've lost your sword.

Of course, I know a certain other ninja/(inactive) player here that got his (unsharp) sword in with a bit of concealment. They weren't looking that hard.
