I made a free newspaper receptacle
On my way back home, I found a huge dumpster heaping with garbage. I went in for a closer look and I found all sorts of neat trash in need of liberation.
I took a small metal shelf.
I also helped myself to a few copies of "Bay Guardian," "SF Weekly," and "The Onion."
I went to the bus stop on the north east corner of Fillmore and Oak. There, I created a free newspaper stand for people to enjoy as they sit and wait for the 22.

I think it's exceptionally cool that your scavenged item didn't go to your home, but to better someplace else. If you want to continue improving the stop... find a BartPA member.

You're so thoughtful! I hope someone equally generous replenishes the newspaper stand at a later date.
I think it is now in the running for "swankiest bus shelter in SF." To clinch it, just add cupholders and ashtrays to the crappy chair-analogues.
