Find something. Write about it. by SNORLAX

July 10th, 2006 3:02 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: I found a letter while waiting for MUNI. It was a love/hate letter to "Adriano" from "Helen" and part of it read:

"I have done nothing but house you, feed you, keep you high, give you money, smokes, {and} keep you high. People like you are worse than ordinary people who fuck people over."

Naturally, I laughed and laughed and show this note to everyone I meet (I carry it in my pocket everywhere I go).

What have you found? Where?

I was perusing the various objects around me while at lunch a few days ago and I came accross a most hilariously disgusting article about controversy in a championship eating contest in San Jose. The winner, Takeru Kobayashi, won, setting a world record for eating 53 and 3/4 hot dogs in 12 minutes. That averages 4 and a half hot dogs a minutes, totaling an estimated 15,000 calories.
It gets worse. Contest rules are that regurgitation results in automatic disqulaification. Apparently at one point Kobayashi tried to drink some water when he ejected a small spray of bread and hot dog chunks. As one witness put it, "When the hot dog came up, and some of it came out his nose, Kobayashi sucked it back down. To me thats the testament of a champion and true athlete." Fortunately for Kobayashi, the discharge did not hit the table, so he was not disqualified.

PS these are pics of the champ, but i don't know that they're pics of the contest in question

but methinks the point of the task is to find Some Thing. not just find out about something.. but maybe thats just my interpretation.
