Good Luck! by insignificant wrangler

Rowan decided we would either travel to Massachusetts, to visit nana, or to China, to visit her friend Yuxin. I have explained to Rowan that Yuxin was born in China, but lives in Florida--though I'm pretty sure she think Yuxin commutes from China every day. Regardless, China.
Starting in Beijing
Our trip would begin with a few days in Beijing. Of course, we'd want to see the great wall.

Then, there would be a visit to the Tiananmen gate, where we would make up some stories about the forbidden city. That's a cool name (and you have to appreciate how it conquered starbucks).

I'm pretty sure Rowan would want to check out the Beijing Zoo, especially the Panda House.

No trip to Beijing, or China, would be complete for me without tasting the famous Beijing duck.

A Few Days in Tibet

So, I guess we should visit the Himalayas.
Hmm. Those look big, and I am very uncoordinated. But, since I won the lottery, I can afford to leave this one to the professionals.
The internet tells me I should visit Potala Palace, so that's on the list.
Hong Kong
After a few nice days in the country, its back to the hustle and bustle of a major city. Hong Kong. What to do? Time Magazine has a pretty nice list. I think I would like to sample some of the food in the street market.

But I bet Rowan would want to charter a junk

I think that sounds like a solid plan, off to buy a lottery ticket!
Boo!
Well, we didn't win the lottery. Go figure.
With a Little Help from Our Legos
So, fire up those imaginations. Rowan and I are off to the Great Wall of China:

Next, we swing by the Beijing Zoo.

For dinner, some Pineapple Fried Rice (ok, its not necessarily Chinese, but I know how to make it. Cut me some slack?)

Well, what do you know?

The End.

Thanks Rin Brooker. I can't believe it almost took me a month to come back and finish the quest. It was a fun one!

You have half a task. It's a really great half a task so it'll be fun to see the rest of it. No vote for half a task though.
