Re-upholster the Judas Chair by transit monkey

February 27th, 2012 1:03 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Find a ledge or object in a public space that is unpleasant to sit on. Transform it into a comfortable resting place.

When trying to decide what to do for this task, I couldn't think of any place that I would want to sit that I couldn't already sit fairly comfortably. After searching for many, many months, to no avail, I decided to adapt the task slightly and make person, not a place, more comfortable.

The Man on the bench has been at IIT for far longer than all of the current students, and probably most of the faculty. I wanted to make him a little warmer on this cold spring day, so I set out with Jim and Anna and some soft items I could use to bring some comfort to our marble friend.

I like the praxis, but I don't think it matches the task very well.
You could have made him more pleasant to sit on...
