INSTRUCTIONS: Install a secret message.

Where better to install a secret message than Wikipedia, the worlds biggest and most truthful encyclopedia(citation needed?

So I decided to find a page about something cool...how about Ultraman?

ul1.jpg

Now as many people know, if you try and alter something on Wikipedia it's bound to to last around 30 seconds before the Wikipolice revert the page back in around 30 seconds, so inserting a secret message like 'Mike Towns once kicked Ultra Man in the groing' just won't do...but how many Wikipedians truly understand Japanese text?

So I busted out my old friend back from the days when I read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the 'trusty and accurate' Babelfish to have some fun.

As of the moment I submit this, my secret message still exists on the page and it'll be interesting to see how long it lasts...but right now i'll just bask in the glory of truthfully being Ultraman.

Unfortunately, it only lasted seven minutes before someone reverted it. Awesome idea, though.

At least for a small moment in time I was a Japanese superhero :)

This reminds me of the time I realized that the listed pronunciation of "Jack Kerouac" on Wikipedia was "Jacque Kerooic." (some people don't understand IPA). I had to change it three times, as people kept changing it back "citing" sources that were obviously external copypastas/summaries of the wikipedia page. Information begets misinformation.

Wikipedia's like a large bucket full of people shouting 'shut up, this proves i'm smart on the internet'.
