Master of PseudoScience by Selahsaurus

February 21st, 2012 1:38 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Become competent at performing a pseudoscientific form of therapy or other pseudoscientific pursuit, such as chromotherapy, ghost hunting, conducting seances, dowsing, cryptozoology, graphology, memetics, psychoanalysis, chiropractic, hypnosis, homeopathy, vitalism, feng shui, creation science, astrology, biography, pyramidology.

Use your skills in the field (i.e. not alone in your room on yourself).

During my break, I actually began to try and get a few new jobs. I tried being a phone sex operator, a technician... heck, I even tried my hand at being a florist. But the one thing that I did that I get to officially add to my list of 'things that are totally amazing and completely awesome' was voice acting.

Seriously. I'm a voice actress. Even typing it seems weird.

So I did a commercial - that you have probably never seen for a product called an 'audio road' - but I ALSO did a short series of hypnosis CDs for a company called Mister Hypnosis, LLC. I was the female counterpart to the relaxation and empowerment cds, and it was... uncomfortable. A bit annoying. Anyways, the cds are for sale here.

PROOF!

Well, things that I learned were:

a) I already knew everything I needed to know about hypnosis before I worked for Ray White
b) Hypnotism - like nearly everything else - is all about sex
c) Royalties don't pay very well for unpopular hypnotists
d) creepy old men are even creepier when they are telling you, "sultrier, Selah, sultrier"

Sultrier is a wonderful word. As I am reading on a phone now, I still have to check the proof, but this sounds excellent.
