Dimensional Leakage by Great President Dad

The following was automatically transcribed from the AutoVoice (TM) device onboard the Galactic Planetary Survey ship, Frenata.
1: What about that one?
2: What about it?
1: Looks interesting.
2: Hm.
1: Moderately complex structures, home to a variety of species, and signs of a recent mass extinction.
2: Aha.
1: So can we go?
2: Is it on the manifest?
1: No. But the manifest says that if any interesting planets should arise on our journey we are obligated to check them out.
2: It also says that we get home before the playoffs.
1: You are no fun at all, did you know that?
2: Yes.
*At this time, there is a pause of quite some length*
2: Okay we can go.
The following is excerpted from the report submitted to the Galactic Planetary Survey by the ship, Frenata

While on the planet we discovered that the most active species carried on a number of interesting traditions, one of which is placing the names of people on outdoor furniture. We decided to participate in this tradition. Quite bizarrely, they would only place one name on any given piece of furniture, when we know full well that the number of dead humans far exceeds the number of benches. We thought we might show this planet a bit of the efficiency our people are known for. Then we remembered that no sentient species currently inhabits it. But another may someday. Also, my associate would like to know which teams prevailed in this year's playoffs.
