INSTRUCTIONS: May Day 2010: Minneapolis and Chicago

The city spreads out before you. Rushing from point to point, lit by the slow strobe of fluorescent buses and dark streets. Stumbling into situations for a stranger's signature. Fleeing unknown pursuers, breathing hard, admiring the landscape and the multitude of worlds hidden in it.

For one night, drop your relations, your work and leisure activities, and all your usual motives for movement and action, and let yourself be drawn by the attractions of the chase and the encounters you find there.

I adore that this photo-essay descends into several frames of blackness, followed by crumpled ribbons. Hooray!

Likes Music may add things to this. He's had a long day today. I sort of wish I'd given you my pictures to swap. But maybe he will decide to take some and load them in. I posted all my early crowd shots to flickr. Looking back over the day/night. There were so many missed opportunity for photos. I'm definitely going to start being a more contentious photo taker.

IE, I'm going to learn how to stand still. I shilled for sf0.org a lot to the people I ran into during the night. I hope they start playing and posting.
