One thousand pennies at Union Square.

We were keeping look out for a janitor cleaning up in the area, the moment we noticed him move to the other side of the square the pennies went flying. It sounded kind of cool, not is tingly as I would have liked it, but cool none the less. Glad Nicole got it on video. Everyone around us perked up for a moment wondering what the hell was going on, but no one really said anything.
It wasn't until we were leaving the square that another janitor stopped our party (and just a moment before talking on his phone to another person (the other janitor?) discussing the pennies) and asked for us to picked them all up. My argument was we weren't littering and it's $10, for FREE. He then told us to pick them up as it's a safety hazard. Not wanting to be late to the Buzzed Bee, I requested the gent hand me a sweeper, which he smiled to and did.
In the spirit of the task I never once picked up or removed the things, I did how ever sweep them up into a small baggy, and slipped under it a note that read FREE ALMOST $10.
