I was just at LACMA where I saw this very striking example of someone enacting... how to describe it? Well, he dribbled a real green line along the conceptual (political) Green Line. And filmed it. And overlaid interviews reflecting on it (conceptual to physical to conceptual and around again).
If this confuses you, check out http://subtopia.blogspot.com/2007/03/green-line.html and http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/13/arts/design/13chan.html?_r=1
If you're in Los Angeles, I recommend checking it out. It's in the Latin American wing (Americas building, 4th floor).

But boy! do chickens cackle.

On a different note, I'm torn by, on the one hand, being highly disturbed by the standard corporate office/cubicle contents of your HQ, only made worse by pacifying control panels and internal investigations into 3-drawer filing cabinet procurement (is this HQ in Washington, DC by any chance???), and, on the other hand, the unique tone of your descriptions and the presence of a Garden in Spring. I wouldn't want this for my HQ, but it is very real...
Well done.

Nice! I especially like the use of the turnstile. In plain view, but not obvious.

Thanks all for your support. Just to clarify, that Cash Flow sheet was a lot worse than the FAFSA -- I mean, filling out FAFSA is bad enough, 'cause you have to do your taxes to figure it out, but at least they don't ask how much you spend on laundry (really? you need to know this???). Now I'm trying to decide how much debt I'm willing to go into for grad school.

COMPLETELY RANDOM ASIDES:
-The party went on most of the night, after which there was no point to go to sleep... I even went to a punk show the following night on no sleep. It was the best!
-Early the next morning, still at my desk, I glanced out my window only to see a little old lady making off with a flower from the garden below in a devious manner. I just missed her with the camera, but I still savor the image in my mind.

My friend Ursula does this as her life work, mostly as performances, but also in the form of wigs: ursula's wigs
