Purchased some asparagus roots from the local big box store. I didn't understand how to plant them and wasn't expecting much. After potting and neglecting them for a week I was surprised to notice some growth!

Another week (or perhaps a few days) passed and this thing kept getting bigger! I think I should have moved it outside at this point so it would grow more naturally. I've never eaten an asparagus this long.

It grew so tall that one day I came home and it had fallen over! So I set it right with a stick and twist tie.

I was out cat-sitting for a week and when I returned another asparagus had sprouted and was catching up to the 1st! At this point I decided to move it outside onto my front porch. I hope it continues to progress.
