Renew a Lost Art by rongo rongo

April 14th, 2007 2:36 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: New media are great - but set aside the Second Life and electronica for a moment, and practice a lost art. For example, scrimshaw:

The first interesting lost art I found on Google was lei making. (Practicing the lost art of listening, letter writing, or conversation didn't seem enough like scrimshaw.) I like the vitality of floral lei, but while chopping vegetables decided that produce would be fun.

It turns out that raw veg gets really furry after a rabbit has been wearing it, so I had to rinse a lot before eating.
