Information Insertion by Palindromedary

INSTRUCTIONS: Insert information in a place that has an absence of information.

There is not nearly enough information in our public parks. Otherwise why would people be so callous as to carve into trees? As a form of protest I wanted to carve "Bark protects the "cambrian" layer which a tree needs to transport water and nutrients." into a dead tree. This fallen messenger would hopefully spread awareness that would protect it's comrades. I chose a tree that was close to the path. Unfortunately much of what I had to carve on was a bit rough, so I knew I'd have to make my information short and sweet. I found the best way to make my letters was to carve two more or less parallel lines for each intended line, then to put my knife between those two lines and start chipping. About halfway through the word "cambrian" I realized I was developing wounds on my knuckles. Hooray, a new badge! What no badge for injuries recieved in the line of duty? Fine, my scars are badge enough. I wear my adornments on my soul, and my knuckles. Definitely my favorite task so far!

This is the tree I worked with. His name is Jimmy and he enjoys long walks with beeches; or at least would if he could walk.

Jimmy had some skin problems, but still had dreams of being a model.

What the would-be carver will see from the path.

Wow thanks! I totally would except that SF0 insists that Jimmy isn't a player :(
