INSTRUCTIONS: Leave an object that is precious to you, along with a note describing the object's value, in a public place for someone else to find.

So, on September 16th I set out alone for a year-long exchange program in London. I flew 5200 miles from San Antonio, Texas to London. After the first three months, I flew to Barcelona, Spain for another 3 months there. I was encouraged to read Charles Lindbergh's autobiographical account of his world-famous, nonstop flight from New York to Paris. I ordered it from Amazon and when it arrived, I devoured it. Although I wasn't able to finish it in Spain, I fell in love with not only the subject matter but his style of writing. I just recently finished the novel, 2 months after returning from Spain. It was only then I realized why the book resonated with me so much - he too flew solo across an ocean, not knowing what was in store for him either. I decided I could not let the adventure of this book end with sitting on a self back in America. I had to pass it on. I decided I was going to let someone else have the chance to be inspired and encouraged by this book. I wrote an inscription chronicling my adventure, with dates and mileage and names! But where to leave this? Fortunately for me, there is a little suburb of London called Croydon, which use to be home to the Croydon Aerodrome, where Lindbergh himself landed when he flew from Paris to England after his historic journey. I decided to take the train, and then bus, and then the walk to this little place where I could leave the book for another Lindbergh to find. I hope whoever finds this book next is ready to have an adventure.
