The Dragon, Slayed Financially
There once was a dragon named Phil
who never seemed to get his fill.
He drank all night,
causing a terrible fright.
And he'd always stick me with the bill.
This angered me so, as you could see.
Being left with a check you wouldn't believe.
So one day I said, Phil,
you're making me ill,
and my empty wallet makes me grieve.
Phil nonetheless continued to drink,
while I went off and had a think.
My thoughts were quite grim,
but I was full to the brim
of having my finances on the brink.
Stinking of whisky and gin,
Phil stumbled out the pub with a grin.
But he dropped his wallet,
and now I've got it,
full of a month's wages within.
Tomorrow the dragon may be mad,
but it's his fault for being bad.
Borrowing money without a thought.
In the end, with his cash I bought
a nice and shiny new iPad.
