I saw some bathroom graffiti today. It was in a shopping mall that goes after their graffiti so aggressively there's nothing else there, and in fact they'd clearly cleaned this one ages ago the letters were still there, legible from the fact that where they had been the finish was gone from the shiny metal door.

It said "The cake is a lie."

The portal references are overdone - but that just increases the need to tell random people the hard truth that they will not be receiving any cake today.
