Morning Coffee
Things started innocently enough, on a groggy work morning. Tony hands me my coffee and bagel and I sit down and wake up, contemplating how much like a yippie my new job in North Beach makes me feel.
What's This?
I'm a bit early, but decide to head in anyways, and play around on the net for a while before the morning scrum. On the way up the stairs, I notice a door that usually isn't open...
A Way Up
Peering upwards, it dawns on me (har har) what I've found. I stare up the shaft for a while, listening to see if I can hear workmen on the roof or not.
The Last (non) Barrier
I make my way up the stairs, shoes clanging on metal stairs, building to a crescendo of anxiety as I finally reach the top. Ok, last chance - time for the balls to get on the job. I think that's dirty if you say it in England.
Well, I guess it's 25 feet from a door or window technically.jpg
Yep, it's a roof alright. The pile of cigarette butts in the corner of the roof offer a hint as to why the door is open.
People Like Cow Ants
It's only a four story building, but I still pull back whenever I get too close to the edge. The roof feels squishy underneath my feet and I worry I might fall through.
Starburst
I poke around on the roof for half an hour or so before the morning meeting. This may become a regular haunt of mine. A little lunchtime meditation on the roof seems like it could be just the ticket.

Hi Susy - the last month has been a personally challenging one for me, but I'm back. With luck, maybe one of these days I'll actually meet some of you SF0 people in person.
I want the first SFØ person you meet to be susy.
Scooter actually is in SF! Isn´t about time for another epic event? Advanced Calvinball ? Kite-fight tournament? Rolling downhill singing contest?
Hey, street game!! Dax'sbackDax'sbackDax'sbackDax'sback
I'm thinking a group expedition into the storm drain system would be fun. As long as we're not playing D&D nobody should get hurt, I'm thinking.
Yay, surpraxis!
Some of those photos are beautiful.
Thanks zer0gee - Many of them were taken with the 'new' FM3A I bought myself for christmas. Funny how I feel like I get better quality photos on film rather than digital - probably has to do with not wanting to spend money on worthless shots :)
Thanks! That one is my favorite as well.

Breathtaking "is a roof alright". Glad you´re back.
