The Arcane Ensconced by Teeth Beetles

January 9th, 2009 4:07 PM / Location: 37.739464,-122.5092

INSTRUCTIONS: Install a secret message.

"Installed" here is going to be interpreted in a very creative sense. I have included the message, the key, and a clue to interpreting the key in a bottle (whelk shell), sealing it in wax, and released it before low tide.

I think this secret message is actually rather hard to decipher.

The key: The clue to deciphering the key is enclosed as a whelk shell.

Here's the delivery method.

I threw it four seconds ago into the tides, and for the life of me, I cannot see it. Low tide is at 3 PM, it is 1 PM at time of shooting; therefore, the tide is receding...In all likelihood, it will wash out, and then get washed back in...maybe if I'm lucky, I'm saying this is like a 1 in 10,000 chance, it will catch the currents and reach Australia or something.

The idea of releasing something into the world as a method of installation is cool.
