A Doll's House by space bug, Celina, star5, S 4, Ink Tea
September 10th, 2006 9:29 PM
So Oliver was out of town, and conveniently left Star5 with the keys to his house. Inky and 5 came up with a plan to make a doll's house of Oliver's house (well, half of it anyway).. or how we thought he'd want it to be if it could be his dream house. It would be pink of course!
Star began constructing the house. S4 and Inky started making furniture and decorations, while Spacebug began the difficult task of recreating us in Scupley clay form. She made the clever decision to give Oliver a pink tutu, knowing full well that's what he'd be wearing in his dream world. Oh, and s4 made a pirate flag for a monkey, who we decided ought to be climbing on the roof.
While having Oliver come home to a dollhouse would be fun, it wouldn't be nearly enough. So we decided we ought to redecorte his normally bland bedroom to fit the dollhouse. 5 got some help from her mom and friends and pulled together pink blankets, heart shaped pillows, stuffed animals, a tea set, kids books, and a game of hearthrob. She also used the magic of construction paper to make a border of pink hearts and purple stars and a giant rainbow. S4 engineered a construction paper unicorn mobile. A tea party was set. His normal books were all replaced with books such as Sweet Valley High and Baby Sitter's Club. We played a game of Hearthrob.
Danger D Hotrod came over in the end and made a version of himself to go in the doll house just for fun, but this task only allows 5 people.
And the reaction? Let's just say Oliver was quite surprised, possibly a bit disturbed.. you can see him in front of the rainbow below..

Is that a pipe-cleaner mow-cycle? Nice touch, I didn't realize that!
