Naked Mail by Spellman

April 18th, 2010 9:37 AM / Location: 39.952335,-75.16378

INSTRUCTIONS: Send some.

Upon my relocation from Arizona to Philadelphia, I decided to send a few things naked to see how they would fare. First thing I sent was my oversized chess board...

The second and third things I decided to send were two hand crafted Gypsies that Angela had found in the garbage behind my house. These Gypsies are incredible but seem very fragile.

Mailing
-------------

When I arrived at the post office with the art, people were naturally quite curious. The mail lady working at the counter was a bit perplexed, but didn't see any problem with sending it. She also told me that they couldn't insure the chess board or gypsies for me because they were not in packaging, which scared me a bit.

Never the less the parcels were handed over and after $100 in shipping costs, off they went!

Arrival
------------

Both the Gypsies and the Chess board arrived in perfect condition at their target locations. I was hoping that they would somehow arrive with the classic postage stamps from everywhere they had been like in old cartoons but I guess arriving without a scratch is pretty good too.

After Arriving the Gypsies were placed above a staircase as decoration and the Chess Board was relegated to my living room in case we had any sort of foreign dignitary or head of state over.main_dsc0014389963.jpg
