Work is So Strange by prokop

I work as the assistant to the tour director of Cirque du Soleil's Corteo tour. While in Chicago, we were situated in a parking lot of the United Center, which hosted a number of events concurrently with Cirque. On one of our last days in Chicago, I received a telephone call from a very distressed patron. She was calling on behalf of her elderly parents who, the night prior, went to the United Center with the intention of seeing Corteo. However, instead of purchasing tickets at our box office in the parking lot they went into the United Center. The seller sold the patron's parents tickets to the concert-- Shakira -- and the two geriatrics proceeded to attend, albeit in a state of utter confusion. So confused, indeed, that they told their daughter about the "strange and sexual" turn Cirque du Soleil had taken.
Ah, hilarity.
