First Impressions by KC

What if the first thing you told someone new wasn't you name, your age, your sex, or any of that? What if the first things you told someone about yourself were the most important things to know about you? The things your friends have slowly figured out after years of acquaintance. Why do we wait and hint at the important things, expecting people to guess them, instead of telling them straightaway:
"Hi. I am extremely religious. If you make religious jokes around me I will be very offended, but I will pretend like I'm not."
"Hi. I am a very shy person so at first you will think I don't like you. You will try to talk to me and I won't respond; you will try to call me and I won't call you back. But truth is, I really like you and in a few weeks you will really like me too."
These are the things you need to know about me:
1. I know everyone says they want honesty and then are quick to get offended when it's offered. I would truly prefer you to be open, honest, and direct with me, regardless of the situation.
2. I like it when people engage me in conversation or include me in their group, but I can be very timid about making the first move, and I'm often very quiet around people I don't know. I'm not nervous and I'm not shy, I just have trouble finding something to say if I don't know you.
3. It is never my intention to offend you, but sometimes I say offensive things accidentally (this includes correcting your information or speech). I am honestly sorry about that.
4. When I ask how you are, I want you to answer me with more than one word. This is an honest question, every time.
Isn't that better than knowing my name?

Well I'm a big fan of enthusiasm, so I'll allow it :)

Have you introduced yourself in this novel way to anybody out there in the real world, or just here in written form on this site?

Hi. I'm extremely religious too. If you make religious jokes around me I'll think it's awesome and share some of mine with you!

I'm not actually religious, that was just an example :)
And no, I've never actually introduces myself like this to anyone in the real world. But I have to you, just now!

yes, which is why the comment was titled "To this hypothetical person you posit, " &c. &c. &c.
I like it.
and as for number 4, would
"ALLLLRRRRIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTTTT!"
work as an acceptable response? I know it's only one word, but i do hope that such enthusiasm would compensate for the lack of dictation.
