INSTRUCTIONS: Delineate your territory in a public space. We suggest you use walls.

This territory can be considered enemy territory by your foes for the purpose of completing other tasks.

GYZero presents... the colonial beach territory war.

Operation Beach Storm

Adam, Daryl, Katie and Tom.

The Underdogs

Askew, Neil, Elliot and Storer.

Construction

Operation Beach Storm got off to a good start, with most of the materials being provided by them. They did however, donate a flag and a windbreak to The Underdogs, the opposing team.

They quickly went ahead and grabbed the lower down, but flatter hill to base their fort on. The windbreak went up, as did the flag- The good ol' Jolly Roger! Katie and Daryl began digging a trench whilst speakers blasted 'School's Out' over the scene. Tom and Daryl organize the lookout chair, and start placing matting around the rear of the main wall.

Meanwhile, The Underdogs start on the higher hill, however there was less space atop it. They erect their windbreak facing OBS, and start placing Spikes pointed outwards, designed to impale any attackers.

Neil starts hunting for wood, and several races began between OBS and UD to collect the larger pieces of wood. Neil and Elliot disappear for a while and then triumphantly come across the top of their hill carrying what looks like a beam. It is. They run off in the opposite direction, and Tom gives chase, hoping to find more. There is one, and Tom claims in for OBS.

Whilst Neil and Elliot are arguing with Tom over the beam, Adam and Daryl sneak into the Underdogs fort and make a clean getaway with their existing beam, Tom then drags the other beam back. Score 1 for OBS.

After the smaller trench was finished, Katie and Daryl move on to dig a larger hole, which was to become our mantrap. Storer arrived.

Storer dug an even larger hole, in the wrong place. It was damn deep though.

Neil and Askew go for UD supplies. Adam and Katie go for OBS supplies.

Lots of food was consumed, and more various pieces of wood were found.

Storer cut his hand, and was drawn on with blue highlighter.

Neil and Askew returned, and both teams were given 10 minutes to get their flag prepared for the deciding battle, beach CTF!

At this stage, OBS bury their flag pole very deeply, and pack condensed sand around it to make it hard to remove. UD bury a flag like object in the sand, then move their flag behind. Cunning. It was time for the battle to begin.

The Rules

Flags must begin in clear view.

Enemy flags must be taken to your flags starting point to win.

A two handed touch or projectile hit between the shoulders and waist causes you to drop any flags you are carrying and return to your flag position and not be able to tag anybody for 5 seconds.

You must remain within the drawn boundaries.

Don't throw anything painful directly at anyone.

And Finally...

More people than this were buried, and further down. Await praxis.

The next time I hear the phrase "comment vote" and see it not backed up with a vote on either that player's player photo or another task you haven't yet voted for... I'm going to comment flag.

So there.

Well I don't think that will really be a problem any more.

Can we still comment vote if we've voted for every task the author has completed?

DA: Comment vote for the idea of actually giving people points when you do so.

(Now let me go find something to give them through...)

ozenfray-addockhay: I salute you.

@Lincoln: I suppose so. If you like them that much, you should probably find something special to do for them anyhow.

Very much like, but in a manner legally distinct from, a Super Vote.

I know I for one still have it on my task list.

(Actually that's a lie. I convinced a certain other enthusiast of SCIENCE! to hold it on his task list for me so I could fully exploit my ability to fill a list before the era boundary. It's very much a back-burner praxis, because I haven't figured out the details of my super-vote, but I know exactly what task it's for.)

We do need a new super vote task.

Uber Vote perhaps?
