The rusty orange extract from my red onion is a close colour match for the fiber in your photo. I wonder if anyone has used a red cabbage dye to impart that deep, royal purple hue?
Natalia: Thank you, that's a flattering celebrity resemblance. Most often I remind people of Napoleon Dynamite (yes, there's a reason I cropped the top of my face off my player photo). Also, Converge is awesome.
I'm glad I have inspired this discussion of gruesome injuries! I've got a story too. When I was in junior high I wrecked my right knee in a biking accident. My front wheel tangled with my friend's bike, I flipped over the bars, and slid along the gravel road. It was like running fifty feet of coarse sandpaper across my kneecap. It became infected from the dirt bits that got in there. The skin never grew back; just a giant purple scab covering the spot where I fell.
Excellent analysis! I have gained an appreciation of these significant local artifacts. You have piqued my curiousity about the enigmatic puzzles on the backs of the boxes. It seems that an ordered survey of these shapes may be in order.
I have nothing to say, except that I'd rather be in Santa Monica today. Because, damn, it's hard to dérive when it's -4° F outside.
I would award this young woman a B- for her footwear selection, but I give her an A for her lovely tattoos.
A fantastic fabrication! Glorious gears make a beautiful, and classy, seating apparatus. The view from one of these must be inspirational indeed.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone.
GY0 Tom: if you click on the image it should open up into the large version.
Spidere: I used the demo version of Mosaic Creator. There's a limit on image size, so maybe the full version would be able to get the job done.
I don't know how you do it, but I salute you for it. An excellent three-dimensional portrait.
Fantastic. Your neighborhood look compellingly lively in these photos. I'd love to visit one day.
I like this. The white stones were a nice touch.
